CAE GREEN ENERGY PELLETS

THE BIG FUTURE AS

RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE

Black Pellets vs. White Pellets

THE CHALLENGE

The world needs to move fast to reduce carbon emissions. Coal is the largest single source of CO2 emissions from energy and the largest single source of electricity generation worldwide. Phasing out coal is key to reducing emissions, and clean energy alternatives are critical to secure energy supplies.

OUR SOLUTION

CAE Green Energy Pellets (Black Pellets) are a type of biomass fuel made using the steam explosion method. Wood chips or other forms of biomass are heated with steam and then rapidly cooled. Through this process, the wood fibers are broken down and bond together, creating CAE Green Energy Pellets, which are denser and more energetic than white pellets.

There are several reasons why CAE Green Energy Pellets are superior to white pellets. First, they have a higher energy density, which means they contain more energy per unit weight. This makes them more efficient to transport and store as they take up less space and are easier to handle.

Second, CAE Green Energy Pellets are more resistant to direct water exposure and wet weather conditions, making them easier to transport. A big advantage is that they can be stored outdoors.

Thirdly, they are more break-resistant and produce less dust than white pellets, so that less dust and fines are generated during handling and transport.

Finally, CAE Green Energy Pellets have a higher carbon content than white pellets, which means they produce more energy when burned. This makes them a more efficient and less expensive fuel source for power generation and other applications.

AS TO THE POTENTIAL FOR THE FUTURE, HAVE

CAE GREEN ENERGY PELLETS SEVERAL ADVANTAGES:

YOU CAN...

...made from a variety of biomass feedstocks, including wood chips, agricultural residues and even forestry waste.

This makes them a sustainable and renewable fuel source as they can be made from materials that would otherwise go to waste.

THE FIRST PLANT...

...of CAE will primarily use fire damaged logs from the devastating wildfires in Northern Alberta. Another factory is being filled with pine bark beetle infested trees in British Columbia. In this way, wood waste is put to good use and paves the way for reforestation.

THE TECHNOLOGY...

...the steam explosion for the production of CAE Green Energy Pellets can be used on a larger scale if demand increases. This means that CAE Green Energy Pellets have the potential to become an important source of renewable energy in the future.

OVERALL, CAE GREEN ENERGY PELLETS ARE...

...a superior form of biomass fuel that has a number of advantages over white pellets. They have a higher energy density, are water resistant, more crush and dust resistant, and have a higher carbon content, making them a more efficient and cost-effective fuel source. Because they can be made from a variety of raw materials using scalable production methods, CAE Green Energy Pellets have a bright future as a renewable energy source.
